What's in a Name II

CAUTION: Read what’s in a name before you proceed!

By now, you know about the love-hate relationship I once had with my name – It doesn’t end there.

Right about the time I started getting comfy with my name, I’ve always dreamt of the time when I get ONE song to my name. I’m so modest, I only ask for one. Before you come and say not everyone has a song to their names, I just want to say: Asko! that’s their loss, I don’t care. I want one by fire by force.

In high school, I had this friend she had one of the names I always wanted, and more. I don’t know how many names this girl has, but she has three songs to her name (no pun intended). Really. One by Junior and Pretty, Remedies and Olu Maintain…and that is only one human being o!

Ever since styl plus came out with Olufunmi, the dream has even intensified. I once toyed with the idea of sending them an email, just to suggest some things to them *wink*

Anywayz, since the boom in the Nigerian music industry, my options have really opened up. Who would be the perfect crooner to make my dreams come true?

Will it be

Styl plus like I once thought?


Pros: These bad boys have done it before, sure they can do it again, or can they? And I get three for the price of one!
Cons: I don’t think I could live with the horrible video that I’m almost sure is bound to accompany the song, especially as I know its going to be a mega hit!


2. Dbanj? - or skibanj like his jamaican brothers call him (lol!)

The Kokomaster himself! Now everybody knows that I’m the Head Kokolette –in-Charge. This would be the icing on the cake! The utmost honor that an HKIC deserves, plus I know I’ll get airplay cos its Dbanj

But…I don’t think I’d appreciate “koko master…or I’m dbanj or skibanj like my Jamaican friends call me” as part of the lyrics. And frankly, I think everybody is tired of hearing what the Dbanj’s Koko can or cannot do. Knowing Dbanj, he'll be shouting his name more than mine, so...

Ok, so I was having a moment

when I made my blog private.

I'm not one to vent on my blog, and I keep telling myself its not a diary (yeah right!)

I lost my Annonymity eons ago, especially since it seems like a lot of people close to me read my blog.

I dont mind, especially since its not really a loss for me

I tell myself that I do me, but I can't deny that its affected what I write or dont

...and then I went and did it and got personally attached to my blog identity (schew!)

I felt a little selfish closing it down, but boy, for a minute there it felt private.

I'll stay open...at least for now

UPDATE:
I feel like I owe u guys an explanation (and its my life o, but then u guys make it feel like its our life)
The day I closed down my blog, I had some very personal things going on that I wanted to write. It almost felt like going outside naked.
Seeing as I'm not completely unknown, it would have been a gamble...and I knew some people close to me would get to read it.

I wouldnt have minded, if not for the fact that I was almost completely sure that somebody would interprete it the wrong way.

I am handling it sha.

I must confess that I was thinking only about myself when I went private, so I didnt bother to invite anybody. NDQ, Zephi, Naapali, Charizard, Incog, no vex!

I know how I felt when some of my secret favorite bloggers went private.
speaking of which, has anybody found littlemissme yet?
so I can imagine how my undacova readers would have felt.

For those who asked, I cant open another private blog as I'm already attached to this one (and this is coming from a blog addict who has 5 blogs!)

I have decided to write in one of my old, archaic blogs. Don't worry, I'm only writing sparsely in it.
