Taking the "easy" way out!

I still don't have internet :( It's a sad situation...really, it is. I was going to reconnect my internet this week, but alas! my computer is gone!

breathe easy, it's only going to be gone for a few days. I took my baby in to havve a few things checked on it in preparation for school, so there really was no point in having internet without a computer.

I suspect naijaleta and charizard for this!. here's my proof:

can you imagine! and here I was thinking I had made lifelong friends, schew!!!

I haven't had any inspiration to blog about anything....alright, I lie. I actually have, but I've been too lazy busy to actually complete the post. So, I'm going to take the easy way out:

I am putting my neck out on the chopping block, hopefully y'all have mercy on me. I'm asking all my favorite readers, declared and undercover, to ask me ANY questions they fancy and I'll answer them all in a blog post or posts, depending on how many questions I get asked.
I ask for mercy in advance :)

Note:this is just a temporary measure pending the time school starts and I get too busy to update my blog and then actually start getting inspiration to blog!

speaking of undercover readers, who is 4v5.blogspot.com ?
I only ask this because if you have noticed I recently got feedjit and yes, i do look at it. I've noticed the above mentioned person keeps coming to my blog, leaves no comments and the blog is a private blog! I don't think that is cool. you might want to come out of the closet buddy!

Anyways, since its going to be my beautiful, soft sexy,….neck on the chopping block, I only ask one thing:

Your question has to be in before next week Friday. Hurry you only have 168 hours!

UPDATE: In leiu of cerrtain mitigating factors (lol! i get to use that phrase in a totally legit way!), there has been a minor adjustment. i'm following the genie model, so you have a maximum of three(3) questions! thanks Zephi and shonavixen :)

In lieu of certain mitigating factors

Update on old business:
my internet isn't back on. I do all my blogging/responding to comments at work. In my free time, I've been reading.

since it is apparent that my inspiration to blog is directly proportional to how many exams i have, an inversely proportional to my free time, while the integral of my.... anyways, I have decided to take the easy way out and do an update on some of the posts I made in the past.

To make this easy for those who haven't read the posts, I have taken great pains to put the link to the original post...you can thank me later.

Help Anyone?
{the troubles of gym membership}

The gym people still call my phone from time to time to tell me about some new program they are having. last time they called, it was something like $24 per month. I'm waiting till the price comes down to $10 per month, maybe I'll finally be able to afford gym membership. In the interim, I started working out at boyfie's job. Its not constant yet. Maybe I'll just have to make do with sit ups in my house.

Almost doesn't count
{countdown of my almost boyfriends}

Everyone wanted to know what the deal was with the Actuals. I'm actually writing a post about the 'Semis". When I'm done with the lazy flu, I'll put it up. I guess that should buy me more time, right?

F is for Fuck up
{woes of an F-1 student}

I got another research job that promised to pay just as much as the one I lost, but on the day when I was supposed to start work, my mentor said the grant didn't come thru, and as such there was no money to pay like was promised earlier!

Anyways, as soon as I heard that, I started plotting how to get out. I finally got another job at a nearby hospital after sending random emails to countless strangers. Actually, I got double hired at the same job!

One of my professors called me to go get the job, and after I was hired, some other doctor i emailed sent me to the same person to hire me. she had to tell him that she already hired the person.

anyways, it goes to show that all things do work together for good for those that are called according to His purpose.

maybe i'm the med student on naapali's team?

It just Hit me
{my love for TI}

Since this post, my love for TI has eased up a bit, right now I'm in love with Wande coal. yes, I said it: I'm in love with Wande Coal!

seriously, since TI is definitely not The One, maybe this might be the right time for Ludacris to step up his game.

Meeting Sally
hmnn, sally. Sally was a good one. Ever since my last exam, I haven't seen Sally. bad of me, I know. She's probably been disposed of already...and I didn't even get to thank her or pay my last respects. oh, well...

The last I saw of her, we had taken her head off cos we needed to look inside it. her legs were in the way, so we cut those off. most of her torso was gone too cos we didn't have any use for it. ok, I'll stop grossing you out now. *insert brief chuckle*

Sally didn't have a gall bladder, and she didn't have a uterus. I guess that was where I lost interest in her. Actually, I lie. I lost interest when we were studying the thorax region. Anyways, Sally's ancient history now. It was fun while it lasted.

Falling in love on Blogspot
funny thing is, it took me a while to remember who this post was about. To be honest, I'm not sure I remember. oh well, here's to his memory.

I have decided, I need a sugar daddy!
I'm still looking into this one. any takers?

At Last My Love has come along
Well, i guess our love wasn't meant to be. The love was too expensive and it wasnt working out in general sha. Anyhoo, I'm switching to Vaseline- and I dont mean the lotion. I mean Petroleum Jelly. Yes, parfum jelly! at least that is the plan for now. If that doesn't work, Adin agbon is my back up plan cos the winter is always harsh on my skin.

that's it folks! is there anything else that needs an update? lemme know.

Fun things to do when you don’t have cable/internet

I don't know if I told you guys, but my internet got disconnected days ago. Instead of sit still and cry about it, I used the opportunity *cough* to draw out a list of what you can do if your internet got disconnected.
Alright! fine, I don't feel like putting up a real post, and I might have gotten lazy at some point, but that is not the issue- at least not now.
Anyways, back to this gorgeous list that I have taken great pains to put together in order to save the world:

1. Finish reading a book
2. cook Ewa agoyin (beans)
3. plug up iHome and listen to long forgotten music on ipod
4. Study
5. dance makossa in front of the mirror
6. Tidy up apartment
7. Play Bubble breaker on phone till you’re sick of it
8. Try on clothes and take pictures of them
9. Call up sister to gossip about boys
10. Pay cable/internet bill
11. upload pictures from “8” above and photoshop.

bloggers' choice:
12. Eat chocolate
13.catch up on necking and gossiping skills with long almost forgotten crush
14. play monopoly with siblings/roommates/friends
15. give urself pedicure and makeup

I hope to have my internet up and running by the end of the week, or maybe next week, or maybe never? I kid. I don't really miss my cable that much, but my internet I do miss. However, as you can see from my list, I've been keeping myself busy.

Actually, this is a miracle in disguise. Or how else would I have discovered that I still have Shina peters on my ipod?

If you have anymore, you can leave me a comment and I'll update the list.

I’m falling in love all over again!

When I was younger, my parents and everybody around me were certain that I wouldn’t have any problems going through med school. Why? Because med school involves a lot of reading, and I would fit right in because I loved to read.

They were right – in some sorts. I used to be a voracious reader. I remember that I didn’t really enjoy watching TV as a child. Instead, I would lie down on the rug in the living room, reading my Ali and Simbi books. Remember Ali and Simbi? Edet who lived in Ikot Ekpene, Agbo who was waiting in Molete park?

When I was done with those, I discovered the hidden library in my primary school. With my best friend in tow, we read all the books in there – the whole Famous Five series, Secret Six and everything in between.

By the time I was seven, I was well into reading Mills and Boons. Yeah, I know its child abuse. As soon as I got a book, I was transported to a different world- to the annoyance of my mom. I can’t count the number of times I have burnt rice because I was reading. She used to say: “to ba de’le oko, novel lo ma se fun abi?” (When u get to ur husband’s house, its novels you would cook for him abi?). Many a times, she would yell my name and I wouldn’t hear (even though I was right beside her) because I was so engrossed in the book I was reading.

I wasn’t into buying books then because I read books in record times that it was just not worth it. Most of the books I read were borrowed from friends- and sometimes enemies. I didn’t have a library either, because once I read the book that was it. I had no use for it again.

I didn’t have any favorite authors- I read everything in print. Wole Soyinka, Cyprian Ekwensi, James Hardley Chase. Nelkon Physics, Chemistry, and Modern Biology were not left out either. The Lord of the Rings trilogy, I read but couldn’t watch.

Everything was fine and dandy till I discovered the internet. The ninth wonder of the world (google is the seventh). I read online books, and then I started reading through google and wikipedia. I’d google something random like 18th century monarchs and read up all the links about them.

However, ever since I discovered the internet, my reading took a nose dive. In between hi5, facebook and all the other stuff you could do on the internet, I lost my first love. I don’t read like I used to. The rush of seeing a new book I haven’t read has all but disappeared – save the rush I felt when I got the last Harry potter instalment, which I made sure to finish during the first week of school.

I spend countless hours scouring the internet for God-knows-what. Then last week, my internet got disconnected and I didn’t have money to pay to get it reconnected (yes, I’m broke like that). I picked up a book and I didn’t put it down till 2 hours later when I was done with it. It took my internet being disconnected to get me back to my true love.

I have acquired two books that I expect to devour in two days. Yesterday night, I started reading the first one and I’m excited to say I’m falling in love all over again!

PS: I wil edit this post later.

In other news, with 27% of the votes, its safe to assume that Wande coal is the choice of most bloggers, closely followed by styl-plus.

Anatomy Lessons

Footnote: The "Listening to children cry in the midle of the night" gland is not shown due to its small and underdeveloped nature. Best viewed under a microscope

Footnote: The "put oil in the car" and "Be quiet during the Game" glands are active only when the "SHINY THINGS AND DIAMONDS" OLFactory has been satisfied or when there is a shoe sale.

I'm tired of seeing the meme on my blog, and as I'm too lazy to write any meaningful post, this will do.
I've taken great pains to retype the footnote for the visually challenged, lol!
Last note: As you know, science is not exact. I'm guessing Florida and Afrobabe have male brains?
